Each year, we host our Gift-Giving Campaign to help those in need in our community who may be facing challenging times during the holidays. Our goal with the Gift-Giving Campaign is to bring joy and support to women and children in the community facing individual or family challenges during the holiday season. Until the week before Christmas, we collect unwrapped gifts for women and children and non-perishable food items for a holiday meal. We deliver gifts and food to our community residents who can benefit from the assistance. We are hoping to provide 100 families with assistance this holiday season.
Our gift collection location is Dolores' Religious Gifts in Sun Valley Mall, Concord, CA. We also accept Visa gift and grocery store gift cards from Safeway, Walmart, and Foodmax. If you are donating gift cards of any kind, please note on your receipt the contribution for the Gift-Giving Campaign. In addition, we will mail you a contribution letter for all contributions to Dream2b for the Gift-Giving Campaign to claim your eligible tax deduction.
If you are dropping off non-perishable food items, we are seeking the following items to aid families in need for the Christmas holiday:
For the gift collections, we serve toddlers and children up to 17 years old and women from 18 years and up. We seek toys, educational learning gifts, clothing (NEW ONLY: socks, scarfs, gloves, beanies), electronic gadgets, beauty/perfume gift sets for women, cologne, and other gift items for young men.
We also seek volunteers to help distribute gifts and food bags and to pray with residents on Saturday, December 16th. We will disclose the distribution location in early December.
Please share this information with anyone you believe will help us in our goal of helping our community during the holiday season.
The Holiday Gift Giving Campaign focuses on providing tangible support and emotional upliftment to women and children facing individual or family challenges during the holiday season.
