Dream2b is a nonprofit organization that helps women, children, families, and communities through educational, social support service, including mental illness and performance arts programs.
We collaborate with other community leaders and organizations to offer services and programs with various levels of support to our community residents.
Our Youth Programs help prepare the youth for strong leadership through carefully developed programs and curriculums in the following areas:
Dream2b is helping families in the East Contra Costa Area with food bags and toys for the holiday for children 2-17 years of age.
Dream2b is taking fifteen kids from our community on a field trip to San Franciso to experience and explore African-American Art and History.
Using performing arts to unite youth and strengthen communities and the family dynamic nationwide!
Ceola and Lorraine share a deep-rooted passion for empowering and encouraging women and children. In 2011, Ceola turned the trauma of her childhood and past and used it as an opportunity to help others; she established her first nonprofit to support women and children. A few years later, she and Lorraine crossed paths and realized they shared the same passion and dedication to women's empowerment, children, and the community. Their partnership has birthed a strong sisterhood and friendship.
Since 2013, Ceola and Lorraine have organized various community programs and conferences, each aimed at benefitting women, children, and the community. These initiatives include the SPF-90 Day Encouragement Program, Sisters Movie Night, an annual clothing drive, a gift-giving campaign, and a yearly Easter Basket Giveaway. Dream2b also provides services that include, but are not limited to, the following:
In addition, Ceola and Lorraine have built partnerships with the welfare-to-work program, domestic violence, rape crisis and mental illness centers, and more. In June 2014, they hosted their inaugural mini-women's conference, aptly named "I Am My Sister's Keeper."
From the start, their shared vision has been to encourage unity and support among women, provide stability to children, and unify communities. In addition, the two desired to create a safe and empowering space where women could strengthen their faith and deepen their relationship with God.
In summary, Ceola and Lorraine's joint passion for empowering and encouraging women continues to be the driving force for organizing various community programs and conferences. The two continue what began in 2011 in what is now Dream2b, adding more programs and services to benefit women, children, and the community.
